Vejle BikePark

Sønderskoven is home to one of Denmark’s largest technical and training facilities for mountain bikes, Vejle BikePark. The park is an extension to the 8-kilometer long blue mountain bike trail in Sønderskoven. Vejle BikePark offers tracks and obstacles for beginners and daredevils alike.

The tracks were established over the course of two years by volunteer track builders from Vejle Trailbuilder Team from Mountainbike Club Vejle in collaboration with Vejle Municipality. There are five levels: Easy (green), Moderate (blue), Difficult (red), Severe (black) and Extreme (orange). In total, there are close to 100 features built into the tracks, including jumps, rollers, berms, box jumps, rock gardens, switchbacks, bridges and boardwalk.

In Vejle BikePark, riders must wear a bicycle helmet, and the more challenging tracks require extra safety equipment, such as back shields as well as knee and elbow protections. Equipment and the levels of difficulty are described on an information board in the parking lot at the entrance to the park.
