Gasværksgrunden also has a playground for younger visitors, with seating for adults.
Street basketball court
The street basketball court is the largest court at Gasværksgrunden. In 2025, the court was fitted with new grey and blue rubber surfacing, with markings for 3x3 basketball and integrated logos from Fredericia Basketball Club and the Municipality of Fredericia.
The basketball area is designed to accommodate several activities at the same time and is used for classic basketball, street basketball, training and 3x3 games. The court at Gasværksgrunden in Fredericia was officially inaugurated in June 2026 in a collaboration between Fredericia Basketball Club and the Municipality of Fredericia, with support from the Salling Foundations.
Green artificial turf pitch
On the green artificial turf pitch at Gasværksgrunden, you can play football all year round, regardless of the weather. Please bring your own football.
Red amphitheatre stage
The red amphitheatre stage is located in front of the Gasværksgrunden Information House and has seating all around it. The stage is used for activities such as street dance and qigong, as well as performances and demonstrations.
Padel court
Gasværksgrunden in central Fredericia has an outdoor padel court suitable for doubles. The court must be booked, and rackets and balls are included in the booking.
Rackets, balls and the access chip can be collected at the reception of Hotel Gammelhavn upon presentation of an ID card.
Parking at Gasværksgrunden
There is free parking at Gasværksgrunden in Fredericia, with a four-hour time limit. The car park also has charging stations for electric vehicles.
