Visit the Bearded Reedling Birdwatching Tower at Spang Å

The Bearded Reedling Birdwatching Tower is located by the stream Spang Å, which flows into Rands Fjord. From the tower, you can enjoy beautiful views across the wetlands and the surrounding landscape. It is a peaceful spot to observe the area's rich birdlife without disturbing the birds in their natural habitat.

The Bearded Reedling Birdwatching Tower is one of two birdwatching towers in the area. The other tower, The Grebe Birdwatching Tower, is located on the shores of Rands Fjord, and together the two towers offer the opportunity to experience the fjord's birdlife from different perspectives.

Birdlife at Spang Å

The area around Spang Å and Rands Fjord is teeming with wildlife, especially during spring and autumn when many bird species stop to rest and feed in the wetlands. With a little patience, you may spot a Western Marsh Harrier or a Common Kingfisher, while the distinctive hanging nest of the Eurasian Penduline Tit can often be seen among the reeds along the water's edge.

If you're lucky, you may also catch sight of one of the White-tailed Eagles that breed around Rands Fjord and use the area as their hunting territory.
