The Fortress Days features culture, history & music

The Fortress Days are the highlight of the summer in Fredericia – and this year we celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Battle of Fredericia 1849.

The city's streets will be filled with magnificent parades, processions, music, and exciting events that tell the story of the historic battle and the fantastic victory. There are also many new activities in this year's program. Among other things, we will be visited by the Guard Hussar Regiment's Horse Squadron and Sigurd Barrett, who will tell Fredericia's history in a way children can understand.

This year, you can also experience Children's Life in 1849 at the Town Hall Square or join the 175th-anniversary march, which passes by about 50 sights in and around Fredericia.
