Rands Fjord is a beautiful area north of Fredericia. The fjord was converted into a freshwater lake in the 1800s, but to this day it still goes by the name of Rands Fjord. The streams of Bredstrup Å, Skærup Å and Spang Å all run through Rands Fjord. The fjord is surrounded by meadows, reed swamps, hills, forests, fields, grasslands and slopes.
The area is protected and equipped with different paths - most of them start from the small parking lots where you can also find information boards.
Fishing in Rands Fjord is not allowed without permission from the landowners. However, you can fish from the stream Spang Å by the parking lot by Egeskovvej.
There is a cycling route around the fjord. The route is 14,5 km and offers hilly terrain, forest and meadows. You may even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the white-tailed eagle hunting in the area.
