Now you can go on a hunt for four of Fredericia’s well-known animal species: the black woodpecker, which lives in Trelde Næs; the tawny owl, which lives in Fuglsang Forest; and the white-tailed eagle, which lives near Rands Fjord.

You can also try to spot the starling with its chick, which is on display near the shelter site in Madsbyparken – or visit the harbour porpoise sculpture, standing in the Canal District overlooking the Little Belt.

More wood sculptures on the way

The four wood sculptures already adorn forests and nature areas across Fredericia – and more are coming. Over time, even more beautiful animals will be installed, so you can continue your hunt and see if you can spot them all.

Nature art created by a local artist

These impressive works of art were created by local artist Mariane Ladegaard Jensen and are made entirely from recycled wood. The sculptures highlight Fredericia’s wildlife and invite curiosity and reflection in nature.
